HSM Advisory was founded in 2008 by London Business School Professor and award-winning author Lynda Gratton. In this role, you will be collaborating with Lynda on a variety of meaningful projects. We are searching for someone who is motivated by a human-centred future, who has an innate curiosity about the factors that contribute to human performance and someone that is hungry to make an impact through innovative and dynamic and fast-paced change initiatives.

Role Description

Build our business
- Owns the relationships with some of our biggest clients, acting as a trusted advisor on high visibility programmes
- Builds relationships with new and existing clients to generate ongoing business
- Identifies and manages the core problems HSM Advisory can solve for a client
- Provides strategic direction on projects to our consulting team and skilfully manages complex stakeholder environments with our clients
- Exhibits curiosity and commitment to create better workplaces for people
- Delivers remarkable keynote presentations on HSM Advisory insights and research
- Demonstrates a pragmatic and commercial approach to supporting clients
- Finds sound growth opportunities through new service lines, markets, and other opportunities
Lead complex people-based projects
- Acts as programme lead on the delivery of complex global projects on exciting topics relating to people and change
- Leads focus groups, design workshops and leader interviews
- Has a holistic command of projects, identifying risks, challenges, and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle
- Engages stakeholders effectively, from CEOs to project managers
- Recognizes the client's internal drivers and challenges and delivers the guidance and advice they need to overcome blockers and achieve success
- Upholds HSM Values and builds rapport virtually and across different culture
- Capable of directing a team of consultants through complex qualitative analysis
Create a flourishing HSM Advisory culture
- Demonstrates leadership on projects, with the team, and with new business contacts
- Encourages the growth of other team members by mentoring newcomers and setting achievable targets and goals
- Demonstrates a positive and determined approach to their work

Deliver Great work
- Owns and delivers high calibre of work on our largest advisory programmes
- Leads project teams and manages deadlines accordingly
- Harnesses robust knowledge of HSM Advisory research and insights, demonstrating expertise
- Heads our consultants on analysing client data to derive insights within companies, and translates these into impactful recommendations for the client
- Delivers key internal projects as required (such as capability building for our consulting team) to enhance overall ways of working

- Your levels of empathy enable you to both support your colleagues and team and navigate complex and sensitive issues for our clients
- You have strong communication skills with an ability and willingness to have difficult conversations when necessary and to flex your style to suit different stakeholders. You listen and ask questions rather than make assumptions
- You can connect information and ideas to respond to unique client needs and work with the team to develop new services for our clients
Experience
- Essential: 8 plus years’ work experience, ideally in a large consultancy firm
- Desirable: a background in change management, innovation, organisational behaviour, management studies, or HR-related fields, as well as experience with qualitative data
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
